Now more well-known as Indigenous People’s Day, Columbus Day is a federal holiday where the banks are closed, but availability of crew is not too greatly affected. This is where we’d go into what Columbus Day is all about, but we think history has done a good enough job of shining a light on Columbus’s stunningly abhorrent and scummy behavior. (P.S. the Columbus Day Parade is also the worst of all New York City parades.)
